Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Visitor to join our team at NHS. As a Band 6 Health Visitor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality health visiting services to families with children aged 0-5.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver the Healthy Child Programme by working with a designated case load of families, assessing their needs, and planning and delivering evidence-based care.
  • Work in partnership with colleagues, service users, and stakeholders to promote the health and wellbeing of children, young people, and their families.
  • Liaise effectively with colleagues and partner organizations to ensure timely and well-coordinated care for children and families.
Requirements
  • Hold a clinical qualification (RGN/RN) and a Specialist Public Health Practitioner Health Visiting qualification at Degree or Post Graduate Level.
  • Have undertaken Nurse Prescribing or a commitment to undertake Nurse Prescribing training.
  • Have a mentoring qualification and experience of implementing evidence-based practice.
  • Have line management experience and community setting experience.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and establish good one-to-one relationships.
  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions.
  • Effective use of different styles of influencing in various settings.
  • Ability to present and write information in a clear and precise manner.
  • IT literacy.
Working Arrangements

The post holder will be required to work across Croydon and surrounding Boroughs, and will need to have a valid UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.
