Teaching Assistant Opportunity

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our client schools in Sleaford. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' learning and development, helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning materials, ensuring a tailored approach to meet students' needs.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require extra help, fostering a sense of belonging and confidence.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to the teacher and contributing to the development of individualized learning plans.
  • Support students with their social and specific needs, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
Requirements:
  • Teaching assistant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, or NVQ, demonstrating a commitment to education and student support.
  • Experience in a care or support worker role, with a strong understanding of the importance of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for education, with a willingness to adapt to the needs of the school and students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • An updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one.
