Position Overview:
An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Mobile Building Fabric Technician. The ideal candidate will possess self-motivation and a proactive attitude.

The primary responsibility will be to execute reactive maintenance tasks across our diverse contract portfolio. This role requires effective communication and coordination with site-based technicians and approved contractors.

A solid understanding of Building Fabric Services is essential, including the ability to perform high-quality decorating and provide technical guidance when necessary.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform reactive maintenance repairs across various contracts.
  • Evaluate and procure necessary parts and equipment for specific tasks.
  • Adhere to recognized industry standards consistently.
  • Participate in flexible working hours and be available for out-of-hours emergency support as required.
  • Engage in training to fulfill role requirements, including health and safety courses and ongoing professional development.
  • Assist other trades as needed.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by management within the scope of the role.
  • Update and close completed Reactive & PPM tasks in our CAFM System.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards.
  • Follow company quality assurance and site procedures diligently.
  • Maintain adherence to both Client and Integral's Health and Safety protocols at all times.
  • Inspect service conditions and proactively address call-outs and repairs as necessary.
  • Maintain all company-issued tools in safe and operational condition.
  • This job description outlines the primary duties of the position and may evolve over time without altering the general character of the role.


Perform basic fabric tasks, including decorating, replacing door hardware, lock changes, floor repairs, basic carpentry, roof maintenance, gutter cleaning, and basic plumbing. Basic electrical knowledge is advantageous.


Essential Qualifications:

  • Relevant trade background and qualifications (recognized certification or apprenticeship).
  • Extensive knowledge of building fabric services.
  • Thorough understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, contributing to team success while following instructions.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working without supervision.
  • Adaptable and flexible in approach to work requirements, open to change.
  • Willingness to adopt flexible working hours to meet the demands of the retail sector, including weekends and evenings.

Additional Information:


This is a stable role suited for an individual who can work independently and proactively manage all required tasks. A conscientious and reliable team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills is essential.


The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS (CRB) check (at Integral's expense) within the first month of employment and participate in an on-call rota as needed.
