Position Overview:
An opportunity has arisen for a practical and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Mobile Fabric Maintenance Engineer. The successful candidate will be tasked with executing reactive maintenance across our diverse contract portfolio. This role requires effective communication and coordination with site-based technicians and approved contractors to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform reactive maintenance tasks across various contracts.
  • Evaluate and procure necessary parts and equipment for specific tasks.
  • Adhere to recognized industry standards consistently.
  • Participate in flexible working hours and provide out-of-hours emergency support as needed.
  • Engage in training programs to enhance skills and maintain professional qualifications, including health and safety training.
  • Support other trades as required.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned by management within the scope of the role.
  • Update and close completed Reactive & PPM tasks in our CAFM System.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards.
  • Follow company quality assurance and site procedures diligently.
  • Maintain adherence to both client and company health and safety protocols.
  • Inspect service conditions and proactively address call-outs and repairs as directed by management.
  • Keep all company-issued tools in safe and operational condition.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Relevant trade background and qualifications (recognized certification or apprenticeship).
  • In-depth knowledge of building fabric services.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while following instructions.
  • Self-driven and capable of working without supervision.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing work requirements.
  • Willingness to adjust working hours to meet the demands of the retail sector, including weekends and evenings.
Additional Information:
This role is ideal for a proactive individual who can work independently and is committed to completing all assigned tasks. The successful candidate will demonstrate reliability and possess excellent interpersonal skills. An Enhanced DBS (CRB) check will be required during the initial month of employment, and participation in an on-call rota will be necessary.
