Position Overview:
An opportunity has emerged for a dedicated individual to join as a Mobile Fabric Engineer. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate self-motivation and initiative. Responsibilities include executing reactive maintenance tasks across the contract portfolio and collaborating with site-based technicians and approved contractors. A solid understanding of Building Fabric Services is essential, along with a commitment to maintaining high standards in presentation and technical guidance when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform reactive maintenance repairs across the assigned contracts.
  • Evaluate and procure necessary parts and equipment for specific tasks.
  • Adhere to recognized industry standards consistently.
  • Participate in flexible working hours and provide out-of-hours emergency support as needed.
  • Engage in training to fulfill role requirements, including health and safety courses and ongoing professional development.
  • Assist other trades as required.
  • Carry out additional duties as directed by management within the scope of the role.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed Reactive & PPM tasks on the CAFM System.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards.
  • Follow company quality assurance and site procedures in all activities.
  • Adhere to both Client and Integral's Health and Safety protocols at all times.
  • Inspect service conditions and proactively address call-outs and repairs as requested by management.
  • Maintain all company-issued tools in safe and operational condition.
  • This job description outlines the primary duties of the position as of its completion date. Duties may evolve over time without altering the general nature of the role or the level of responsibility involved.
  • Conduct basic fabric tasks, including decorating, door hardware replacements, floor repairs, basic carpentry, roof maintenance, gutter cleaning, and basic plumbing. Basic electrical knowledge is a plus.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Relevant trade background and qualifications (recognized certification or apprenticeship).
  • Extensive knowledge of building fabric services.
  • Thorough understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable collaborating within a team environment, contributing to collective success while following instructions.
  • Self-driven and capable of working without supervision.
  • Adaptable and flexible in approach to work requirements, open to change.
  • Willingness to adopt flexible working hours to meet the demands of the retail sector, including weekends and evenings.
Additional Information:
This role is static and is ideal for an individual who can work independently and proactively manage all assigned tasks. The ideal candidate will be a conscientious and reliable team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The successful applicant will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS (CRB) check during the initial month of employment and participate in an on-call rota as needed.
