Job Description

Position Overview:

A vacancy has arisen for a skilled professional to work as a Mobile Fabric Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out reactive works across the contract portfolio and will also be required to liaise and coordinate works with the current site-based technician and approved contractors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To carry out reactive maintenance repairs across the contract, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with industry regulations.
  • To assess and order parts and equipment necessary for individual tasks, utilizing technical knowledge and expertise to make informed decisions.
  • To work to recognized industry standards at all times, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
  • To participate in flexible working hours and out-of-hours emergency cover as required by the contract, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to go above and beyond.
  • To undertake training as required to perform the duties of the role, including health and safety courses and further trade development, to maintain current knowledge and professional qualifications.
  • To assist other trades as/when required, demonstrating a team-oriented approach and a willingness to support colleagues.
  • To undertake any other duties as directed by Managers within the remit of the role, demonstrating a flexible and proactive approach.
  • To carry out basic fabric requirements, such as decorating, replacing door furniture, lock replacements, floor repairs, basic carpentry, roof repairs, gutter cleaning, basic plumbing, and basic electrical awareness.

Essential Skills:

  • Trade background and qualifications (recognized qualification or apprenticeship).
  • Extensive knowledge in building fabric services.
  • Extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to act on own initiative.
  • Smart appearance, presentable.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working within a team environment, able to contribute to team success while following instructions.
  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements, willing to accept change.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS (CRB) check (at Integral's cost) during the first month of commencement of employment.
  • Participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota.

About the Role:

This is a static role, suitable for an individual who can work using their own initiative and has a proactive approach to undertake all tasks required. A conscientious and reliable team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills is essential for this position.
