The Team Leader will provide day-to-day management of the team, work allocation, and be an escalation route for queries. The successful applicant will be forward-thinking, highly motivated, and patient-focused, with demonstrable leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership, support, advice, and guidance to an identified team of clerical officers and reception/ward clerks.
- Develop a working knowledge of other services by working collaboratively with other team leaders and cover as needed.
- Manage the patient appointment booking process and ensure that patients' appointments are booked correctly or recorded on the Partial Booking List.
- Support the investigation of patient complaints and ensure that learning from complaints and incidents is shared within the team.
- Attend appropriate meetings as required by the role's line manager.
- Previous line management/supervision experience.
- Clerical/administrative experience.
- Experience of dealing with the public, both face-to-face and over the telephone.
- Business and Administration Level 3 NVQ or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy team, adjust to change, and motivate others.
- Effective organisational skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft packages.
