Key Responsibilities

The Lead Project Coordinator will oversee the management and execution of the Multimodal Digital Customer Initiative, which encompasses a broad scope of work within the Transport for Wales organization.

  • Accountable for managing all facets of project delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budgetary constraints by collaborating with the Head of Multi-modal Transformation, Executive Leadership Team, and relevant governmental bodies to ensure effective program design, governance implementation, outcome identification, and realization of strategic benefits.
  • Deliver a professional project management service, which includes governance, reporting, and coordination of technical and executive steering groups, in line with established processes and timelines to guarantee alignment with Transport for Wales protocols and successful delivery within budget and quality parameters.
  • Responsible for planning and driving the completion of all project deliverables, including the project roadmap, financial management, implementation, and transition of program outputs into standard operations to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven project delivery.
  • Lead the development of delivery protocols by staying informed about legislative changes and collaborating with the supply chain to ensure the adoption of best practice methodologies.
  • Manage and oversee organizational projects (and others as assigned) while being accountable for financial oversight by coordinating with the appropriate Finance Business Partner and addressing any budget variances to maintain costs within the approved limits.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven project management experience with a successful track record in developing and executing projects of considerable value and complexity.
  • Extensive experience collaborating with local or national government entities and regulatory sectors to comprehend their challenges and drivers, along with an understanding of the political and commercial landscape.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a variety of intricate IT and Digital Services projects or programs.
  • Proficient in budgeting and financial oversight.

Welsh Language Proficiency

While proficiency in Welsh is not a requirement for this role, it would be a valuable asset to your application.
