We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Fleet Maintenance Manager at Evri. As a key member of our transportation operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's fleet meets all legal requirements and is maintained to the highest standards.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing business, where you will be responsible for managing an on-site fleet of up to 300 vehicles and a multi-site fleet of up to 3800 trailers during peak periods. You will ensure that all vehicles and trailers are roadworthy, manage service providers, and plan maintenance schedules to maintain overall fleet availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain a fleet of vehicles and trailers, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance schedules, including MOTs and service inspections, to ensure fleet availability.
  • Manage service providers and ensure defects, service inspections, and MOTs are carried out as per maintenance agreements.
  • Attend on-site health and safety meetings, representing the fleet department, and address actions as needed.
  • Plan and arrange hiring, de-hiring, and maintenance of additional resources for peak periods, including O License compliance, servicing, and defects.
  • Manage repair and maintenance costs, invoices, department finances, budgeting, and forward projections on repair expenses.
  • Organize and lead fleet supplier stakeholder meetings, recording minutes, monitoring service level performances, and KPI adherence.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving license.
  • National CPC holder (desirable).
  • LGV engineering experience and qualification.
  • Management experience within fleet and engineering departments.
  • IRTE MSoE member (desirable).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Extensive experience in transportation systems - Axscend, Tachomaster, Isotrak, TMS, 3rd party service systems preferred.
