Rate: £15.59/hour PAYE / £20.00/hour Umbrella

Location: Rugby

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vehicle Workshop Operations Manager to join our team at Venesky-Brown. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our vehicle workshop and staff, ensuring all work meets appropriate standards and service targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee and participate in the repair, maintenance, and servicing of a diverse fleet of vehicles, ensuring compliance with VOSA regulations and preparation for MOTs.
  • Maintenance Records: Maintain up-to-date servicing and maintenance records in accordance with the Operator's Licence requirements.
  • Business Development: Assist in the planning and implementation of a Business Development Plan to offer external services and generate additional income for the Council.
  • Customer Liaison: Liaise with Councillors, the public, and customers, resolving requests and complaints efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Experience of working with heavy vehicles, plant, and commercial vehicles.
  • Environment: Experience of working within a mixed fleet environment.
  • Licence: LGV Class II Driving Licence.
