Job Description

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Rugby, is seeking a Vehicle Workshop Foreman/Manager for a 12-20 week contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day management of the vehicle workshop and staff, ensuring all work meets appropriate standards and service targets.

  1. Workshop Management: Oversee and participate in the repair, maintenance, and servicing of a diverse fleet of vehicles, ensuring compliance with VOSA regulations and preparation for MOTs.
  2. Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the repair, maintenance, and servicing of vehicles meets the required standards and service targets.

Essential Skills:

  1. Experience of working with heavy vehicles, plant and commercial vehicles
  2. Experience of working within a mixed fleet environment
  3. Knowledge of electrics and hydraulics systems
  4. LGV Class II Driving Licence
  5. Knowledge and experience of Electric Vehicles
  6. A commitment to work within our CAN DO values

Desirable Skills:

  1. Supervisory Experience
  2. City & Guilds qualified mechanic or NVQ3 in Vehicle Mechanics
  3. Experience of working with refuse and sweeping vehicles
  4. Knowledge of V.
