Primary Care Network General Practice Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Practice Assistant to join our team at Greenwich Health Ltd. As a General Practice Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our GP(s) by providing administrative support and reducing their administrative burden.
Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Arranging laboratory tests, specialist referrals, and diagnostic procedures as requested by clinicians
- Signposting patients to relevant services according to their health needs
- Supporting vulnerable patients in communicating with healthcare providers
- Liaising with ancillary departments and other care providers for appointments, procedures, treatment plans, clinical letters, drug information, and results
- Chasing letters and results
- Being the point of contact between the Practice and other healthcare providers and raising queries as requested by the clinician
- Providing general administrative support to the clinical team
- Coordinating schedules and treatment with other allied professionals, including treatment scheduling, record coordination with consultants, and treatment plans
- Social outreach to assist with enquiries around homeless initiatives, food banks, domestic violence programmes, and AGE UK for vulnerable patients
- Being involved in QOF and other quality initiatives
- Training registrars (trainee doctors) on the eRS system
- Forwarding referrals letters created by clinicians to the relevant departments
- Chasing hospital prescription queries
- Producing encounter reports as required
