About the Role

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pharmacy Support Worker to join the pharmacy team at the West of Scotland Cancer Centre. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the day-to-day running of the pharmacy department, allocating routine duties to Band 2 Pharmacy Support workers and participating in environmental monitoring and stock management programmes.

You will also be responsible for delivering training to Pharmacy Support Workers in conjunction with senior technicians and supervising and assisting with attendance management of Pharmacy support workers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the day-to-day running of the pharmacy department
  • Allocate routine duties to Band 2 Pharmacy Support workers
  • Participate in environmental monitoring and stock management programmes
  • Deliver training to Pharmacy Support Workers
  • Supervise and assist with attendance management of Pharmacy support workers
Requirements
  • NVQ level 2 or SVQ level 2
  • SCQF level 6 qualification
  • Or demonstrate equivalent level with significant experience of working in a Pharmacy
  • Good level of general education, basic numeric and literacy skills
