Dietetic Support Worker

Key Responsibilities- Support clinical service delivery within domiciliary settings and via remote appointment modes.
- Focus on nutritional support for patients with/at risk of undernutrition.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in the Personal Development Plan process to enhance continuing professional development.
- SVQ III in healthcare or equivalent experience working in a caring environment.
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology.
- Full UK/EEA driving license is essential.
- Experience in a healthcare assistant role and/or in primary care.
- Experience working in the domiciliary/outpatient setting or with paediatrics or patients with mental health conditions/learning disabilities.
- Experience of a supportive role in nutrition and diet advice to patients or clients.
- Basic technical skills in nutrition or willingness and ability to learn.
- Ability to work as a member of a team and understanding of limitations of own role within it.
- Fixed Term or Secondment for 6 months.
- Part-Time.
- 22.5 hours.
Please note that this is a part-time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata. This is a fixed-term post for 6 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment.
Location and Working PatternThis role will be based in Dietetics within Beckford Street. The working pattern for this role will be over 3 days.
