Apprentice Quantity Surveyor

Gap Construction is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire. As a key member of the head office team, you will be responsible for preparing tender and contract documents, undertaking cost analysis, and supporting land acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Collaborate with the Contracts Manager to prepare tender and contract documents.
- Conduct cost analysis for ad hoc repair and maintenance project work.
- Provide cost information and risk analysis to support land acquisitions.
- Perform cost control for risk and value management.
- Identify and develop responses to commercial risks.
- Prepare budgets for all aspects of project construction.
- Allocate orders for work to sub-contractors.
- Provide advice on contractual claims.
- Liaise with clients relating to Housing Association matters and attend their meetings.
- Ensure costs are controlled, subcontractors are managed, and quality is upheld during site visits.
- Fulfil duties in accordance with the Company's Health and Safety policy and procedures.
- Surveying experience.
- Must have a degree in quantity surveying or related field.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
