Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at gap construction. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for preparing tender and contract documents, undertaking cost analysis, and supporting land acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare tender and contract documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct cost analysis for ad hoc repair and maintenance project work, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Provide cost information and risk analysis to support land acquisitions, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Perform cost control for risk and value management, ensuring that projects are managed effectively and efficiently.
- Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks, ensuring that the company's interests are protected.
- Prepare budgets for all aspects of project construction, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Allocate orders for work to sub-contractors, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Provide advice on contractual claims, ensuring that the company's interests are protected.
- Liaise with clients relating to Housing Association matters, attending meetings and providing updates on project progress.
- Make regular visits to sites to ensure costs are controlled, subcontractors are managed, and quality is upheld.
- Fulfill your duties in accordance with the Company's Health and Safety policy and procedures.
- Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and cohesively as part of a team.
- Surveying experience and a degree in quantity surveying or related are essential.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of quantity surveying principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and have a strong attention to detail.
