Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Gap Construction. As a key member of our residential development team, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare tender and contract documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Undertake cost analysis for ad hoc repair and maintenance project work.
  • Support land acquisitions by providing cost information and risk analysis.
  • Perform cost control for risk and value management.
  • Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks.
  • Prepare and analyse costings for tenders.
  • Prepare budgets for all aspects of project construction.
  • Allocate orders for work to sub-contractors.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims.
  • Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports.
  • Value completed work and arrange payments.
  • Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Liaise with clients relating to Housing Association matters and attend their meetings.
  • Make regular visits to sites to ensure costs are controlled, subcontractors are managed and quality is upheld.
  • Co-ordinate with the Sales Manager to ensure that appropriate support is given to achieving the company's sales targets.

Requirements:

  • Ability to use own initiative.
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and cohesively as part of a team.
  • Self motivated and proactive.
  • Professional presentation.
  • Must be dynamic, professional, and forward thinking.
  • Responsive to meet tender submission deadlines.
  • Surveying experience.
  • Experience in residential development.
  • Must have degree in quantity surveying or related.
  • Desirable RICS.
