Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Gap Construction. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare tender and contract documents, working closely with the Contracts Manager.
- Undertake cost analysis for ad hoc repair and maintenance project work.
- Support land acquisitions by providing cost information and risk analysis.
- Perform cost control for risk and value management.
- Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks.
- Prepare and analyse costings for tenders.
- Prepare budgets for all aspects of project construction.
- Allocate orders for work to sub-contractors.
- Provide advice on contractual claims.
- Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports.
- Value completed work and arrange payments.
- Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
- Liaise with clients relating to Housing Association matters and attend their meetings.
- Make regular visits to sites to ensure costs are controlled, subcontractors are managed and quality is upheld.
- Co-ordinate with the Sales Manager to ensure that appropriate support is given to achieving the company's sales targets.
- Ensure that the delivery and maintenance of the show areas are given appropriate attention in accordance with the requirement of the Sales Manager.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and cohesively as part of a team.
- Self motivated and proactive.
- Professional presentation.
- Must be dynamic, professional, and forward thinking.
- Responsive to meet tender submission deadlines.
- Surveying experience.
- Experience in residential development.
- Must have degree in quantity surveying or related.
- Desirable RICS.
