Position: Water Recycling Risk Management Lead

Salary: Approximately £46,000, dependent on skills and experience

Type: Permanent, Full-time (37 hours per week)

Location: Anglian Water Region, covering various areas

Role Overview: As the Risk Management Lead, you will be instrumental in enhancing the efficiency and awareness of our Water Recycling operational teams. Your role will require travel across the Anglian Water Region to develop and validate a comprehensive suite of risk registers, which will encompass control measures, response strategies, and risk categorization. You will also contribute to reporting, process enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the Business Stream. While the position allows for remote work when suitable, readiness to cover the entire region is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist front-line teams in identifying opportunities to enhance operational performance through risk management and improvement methodologies.
  • Provide coaching to front-line teams on risk assessment, understanding, and management.
  • Utilize data analysis and insights to pinpoint improvement opportunities.
  • Support process enhancements at the front line across all Water Recycling operations, ensuring consistent implementation, monitoring, and sustainability of improvements.
  • Collaborate with various teams across the organization to facilitate and embed change.
  • Work closely with the WR Performance Team to ensure consistent delivery of objectives.
  • Support our portfolio of Communities of Practice within Water Recycling.
  • Manage data and reporting effectively to add value.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient understanding of risk management and improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret and derive insights from reporting tools, including PowerBI and other Microsoft Power Platforms.
  • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Commercial awareness, including financial knowledge and judgment.
  • Capacity to constructively challenge and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Creative thinking with the ability to question conventional practices.
  • Aptitude for developing and presenting clear, reasoned strategic options.
  • Data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Valid UK driving license.
