Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker Assistant to join our team at Two Saints. As a Support Worker Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 16-21 who are care leavers and looked after children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to young people, helping them to develop life skills and independence.
  • Work closely with the team to monitor caseloads and prioritize support needs.
  • Assist with daily tasks, such as budgeting, shopping, cooking, and housework, to help young people develop essential life skills.
  • Support young people in accessing education, employment, and training opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to ensure a comprehensive support package for each young person.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the benefits system and tenancy legislation.
  • Positive and flexible attitude with a passion for helping others.
  • Ability to remain calm in potentially difficult situations and find resolutions.
  • Empathetic approach and a passion to help young people overcome complex issues.
