Lead Engineer in Closures

Forseven, a pioneering company revolutionizing the EV industry through cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering practices, is seeking an exceptional Lead Engineer in Closures to join our highly skilled and dynamic Engineering team.

This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of one of our offices near Leamington or Bicester, where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

As a Lead Engineer, you will have full ownership for delivering a closure system across one or more platforms, leading the technical direction, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering responsibility (including design and release) of one of the vehicle closure systems:
    • Design for manufacture and assembly for responsible components, ensuring responsible designs meet legal compliance
    • Work Package Management
    • Design Sizing Analysis:
      • Sub system loads, Joints and interfaces, Materials selection, Bolt calculations
      • Assembly level simulation, cost, timing and mass
    • Mentor and support professional development of all colleagues, particularly junior staff
    • To ensure compliance with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policy requirements within areas of responsibility
    • Delivers complex commodities by taking ownership, leading and developing a team to produce high quality output
