Job Description

Job Title: Senior Residential Support Team Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Residential Support Team Manager to join our team at Eden Brown Synergy. As a Senior Residential Support Team Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and managing a team of Residential Support Workers to ensure the highest level of care and support for children and young people in our residential care home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and manage the staff team to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people.
  • Undertake direct work with children and young people as appropriate.
  • Ensure each shift is planned and resources are allocated.
  • Work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people.
  • Offer supervision and support to staff in line with Quality Standards and as directed by the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager.

Requirements:

  • Diploma Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent (completed NVQ | QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People).
  • Minimum 1 year Senior Support Worker experience in a similar environment (residential EBD Home for Children and Young People).
  • Minimum 2 year experience working in a Children's Residential setting with challenging behaviours.
  • Knowledge of the Children Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Awareness of Equal Opportunities/ADP issues.
  • Knowledge of CHR and QS.
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Understanding the needs of looked-after children including managing challenging behaviour.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Full Driving Licence desirable.
  • Full UK working rights essential.
