Position Summary:

We are currently in search of a skilled HGV Maintenance Specialist. This position plays a vital role in the upkeep and repair of commercial vehicles and trailers, ensuring compliance with industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine servicing and repairs on a variety of commercial vehicles and trailers, adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve a diverse array of mechanical issues, ensuring all vehicles are treated with utmost care and safety protocols are followed.
  • Provide roadside assistance for disabled vehicles, demonstrating a commitment to customer service.
  • Collaborate with the parts department to procure necessary components for repairs.
  • Maintain compliance with Health & Safety regulations and complete all documentation, including job cards and maintenance records, promptly.
  • Uphold a high standard of cleanliness in the work environment and engage in ongoing training to enhance product knowledge.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to operate within established guidelines and meet strict deadlines. They should demonstrate resilience under pressure and actively seek solutions to challenges. Strong teamwork and communication skills, along with a commitment to excellent customer service, are essential. Flexibility in undertaking a variety of tasks and a solid understanding of health and safety practices are also crucial.


Qualifications and Skills:
  • Technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ) or substantial experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Experience with Scania vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A valid driving license is required.
  • Possession of an LGV/HGV license is preferred but not essential.
  • Familiarity with trailer running gear and SAF/BPW systems is beneficial.

Working Hours:

This position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, totaling 40 hours per week, with shifts from 06:00 to 14:30 and 14:00 to 22:30.
