About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safeguarding Children Specialist Nurse to join our team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. As a Safeguarding Children Specialist Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people within our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the protection of children and young people.
  • Work closely with multi-agency teams to identify and respond to safeguarding concerns.
  • Provide training and education to staff on safeguarding best practices.
  • Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance with safeguarding regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans for children and young people.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse or Midwife with a current NMC PIN.
  • Experience in safeguarding children and young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
