We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nurse Specialist in Child Safeguarding to join our team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our safeguarding team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in our care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and statutory guidance.
- Work closely with the Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children to embed safeguarding practices across the organization.
- Represent the Trust in multi-agency partnerships and forums to promote safeguarding and improve outcomes for children.
- Provide supervision and guidance to clinicians and other staff to ensure they are equipped to recognize and respond to safeguarding concerns.
- Deliver safeguarding training and education to staff, including duty nurse support and supervision.
- Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives to ensure safeguarding practices are effective and compliant.
- NMC Registered Midwife, Children or Adult Nurse.
- Substantial safeguarding experience at Band 6 or above.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
