Key Responsibilities:

  • Design for Manufacture Support: Collaborate with design teams to ensure that products are designed with manufacturability in mind, reducing production costs and lead times.
  • Process Development and Implementation: Work closely with production teams to develop and implement new manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Equipment Installation and Training: Plan, install, and train personnel on new equipment, including CNC machines and saws, to ensure seamless integration into production lines.
  • Engineering Change Activities: Support the implementation of engineering changes, ensuring minimal disruption to production and maintaining product quality.
  • Troubleshooting and Optimization: Identify and resolve production issues using root cause analysis, implementing robust solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Facility Layout and Optimization: Collaborate with production teams to optimize facility layouts, production lines, and machine operations, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Time-served CNC Machinist or equivalent experience in machining, with a strong understanding of troubleshooting and programming machines.
  • CAD/CAM Experience: Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM software, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Lean Manufacturing Experience: Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and techniques, with the ability to apply them to improve production processes.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 per annum.
