Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Endodontic Specialist to join our team at Birmingham Dental Hospital. As a Specialist Dentist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality endodontic care to patients and contributing to the development of our Endodontics service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver treatment and work on new patient consultant-led diagnostic and treatment planning clinics
  • Manage a wide range of endodontic cases under the supervision and instruction of consultants
  • Provide advice and assistance to junior dental staff in training
  • Participate in clinical teaching of trainees and postgraduate dental students
  • Contribute to Hospital/Departmental Quality Assurance, Clinical Audit, and Clinical Governance programmes
Requirements
  • Fully registered with the General Dental Council (GDC)
  • Level 2 accreditation in Endodontics
  • Inclusion in GDC Specialist List for Endodontics or Restorative Dentistry
  • Completed four years' full-time (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) since first obtaining registration, including adequate experience in the relevant specialty
  • Evidence of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Teaching experience
