Job Summary

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Physician in Respiratory Medicine to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our department, you will provide a comprehensive and high-quality Respiratory and General Medicine service, contributing to the management and development of the specialty and introducing new services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Active participation in the management and development of the specialty and the introduction of new services.
  • Contribution to the General Medicine educational programme, including weekly departmental meetings and teaching.
  • Join clinical supervision of STs in Respiratory Medicine.
  • Participation in Multidisciplinary Team Meetings, both specialty and ward based.
  • Participation in medical audit and review of performance for the Service against the National Targets for Lung Cancer.
  • Participation in the Trust consultant appraisal process.
  • Achievement of the requirements for Continuing Professional Development as laid down by the Royal College of Physicians.
