Position Overview:
We are in search of a talented and seasoned Head Chef to oversee the culinary operations for our esteemed client, a top-tier hotel situated in the picturesque South Lakes region. Our client is dedicated to delivering exceptional, enjoyable, and responsive service, aiming to create unforgettable experiences for every guest.

As the Head Chef, you will be at the helm of the culinary brigade, ensuring the delivery of outstanding dining experiences. Your responsibilities will encompass managing all facets of kitchen operations, from food preparation to supervising kitchen personnel, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations, and upholding superior food quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee the kitchen team in food preparation and cooking processes.
  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Design and implement menus that meet quality expectations and satisfy customers.
  • Guide kitchen staff in their daily responsibilities and provide mentorship as required.
  • Manage inventory levels and procure supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with management to innovate new dishes and specials.
  • Supervise kitchen operations to guarantee efficiency and quality output.
  • Train new kitchen personnel on procedures, recipes, and safety measures.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Head Chef or in a comparable role within a culinary environment.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and direct a team.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and current culinary trends.
  • Excellent grasp of kitchen operations and procedural standards.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Preferred certification in food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

Salary: £39,000.00-£42,000.00 annually
