Job Title: Asset Officer

Sanctuary Group is seeking a skilled Asset Officer to join our Asset Delivery team in Glasgow. As an Asset Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our extensive portfolio of properties across Sanctuary organisations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough stock condition surveys and property inspections to identify required asset improvements and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for asset management, ensuring high-quality services are delivered.
  • Manage cyclical and capital work projects, making recommendations to ensure compliance with legislation and organisational policies.
  • Oversee the delivery of mixed tenure work programmes, adhering to financial policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for work specifications and quotations.
  • Provide detailed reports and advice on budgets to inform decision-making and review costs for accuracy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring they are informed of progress through clear and concise updates.
Requirements:
  • Hold a HND or HNC in Surveying or be currently undertaking the qualification. Alternatively, possess a lower-level qualification with practical experience and a willingness to undertake the qualification with Sanctuary Group's support.
  • Proven experience in working with others to deliver property-related works, including indirect reports and third-party suppliers.
  • Experience working within a building, surveying, and maintenance environment.
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislations and best practices.
  • Ability to extract and interpret computerised information and documentation.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft packages.
  • Experience with drone operations for inspection is desirable.
  • Domestic Energy Assessor qualified or experience is desirable, with a willingness to complete training subject to satisfactory performance after 12 months.
