Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Property Liaison Officer to join our Asset Management team at Glasgow City Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repairs of all Glasgow City Council establishments, ensuring that our properties are well-maintained and meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the maintenance and repairs of all Glasgow City Council establishments, including statutory maintenance.
- Develop and implement effective maintenance plans to ensure that our properties are well-maintained and meet the highest standards.
- Collaborate with Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability (NRS) Asset Management and Glasgow City Council (GCC) Services to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Manage budgets and analyze financial information to ensure effective resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and security risk management methodologies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers to ensure high-quality services.
Requirements:
- HND in a building or building-services related discipline or significant verifiable experience in a similar role.
- Full current driving license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan ahead and manage competing work priorities and resources.
- Experience in budget management and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and security risk management methodologies.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Membership of an appropriate professional body.
- Health and safety qualifications such as IOSH / NEBOSH or Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management qualifications.
