Your Role:

As a Capital Asset Specialist, you will oversee capital expenditure projects, primarily at the lump-sum level. Reporting to the Transformation Office, you will collaborate with Project Managers, Lab Supervisors, Controllers, and Operations leaders to ensure new projects across the US CTS are opened on time, conducted according to plan, and closed on budget. This role is hybrid working in Glasgow, UK, and will require some overlap with the Eastern US timezone (ET).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply project management expertise and data analysis skills to improve site metrics related to operational and budgetary key performance indicators.
  • Present project data and guide performance across multiple labs, giving your successes broad visibility.
  • Assist cross-functional teams with writing project scopes, driving accountability for timelines, and delivering on budgetary estimates.
  • Contribute to the growth of Process Solutions Services, a rapidly expanding division of the business, with substantial opportunities for professional growth within the Transformation Office.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, etc.) or business discipline (e.g., Business Management, Marketing, Economics, etc.).
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Previous experience working in a lab environment.
  • Previous experience in a project role in a lab, manufacturing, or construction environment (preferred).
  • Knowledge of capex project management tools (preferred).
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills (preferred).
  • Eager communicator and collaborator (preferred).
