About the Role

As a Specialist Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in our Camden Women's Recovery Service hostel. You'll provide specialized interventions to a designated caseload of residents and contribute to the wider client group through our in-house recovery program.

Your primary focus will be on providing intensive support to residents, addressing their diverse needs. This specialist role is designed for individuals who excel at working with those facing complex challenges. You'll embody best practices by adopting a trauma-informed approach and fostering a supportive environment.

We champion co-production, empowering residents to be active participants in shaping the services they receive. Your role will involve promoting autonomy, building individual confidence, and enhancing interpersonal skills within our community.

About You

  • You possess proven experience working with female rough sleepers or individuals grappling with complex mental health, physical health, or substance use challenges.
  • You understand person-centered approaches and collaborative practices within a harm minimization and recovery framework.
  • Your flexible, innovative, and creative mindset allows you to effectively engage with a sometimes challenging client group.
