The Role: Support Specialist

As a Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate and effective support to women seeking assistance. You will work closely with individuals, providing guidance, resources, and advocacy to help them navigate challenging situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide empathetic and confidential support to women experiencing various forms of adversity.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to understand individual needs and develop personalized support plans.
  • Connect women with relevant resources, including housing assistance, legal aid, counseling services, and employment opportunities.
  • Advocate for the rights and well-being of women within our community.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure effective service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable populations, preferably in a social services or advocacy setting.
  • Strong understanding of domestic abuse, homelessness, and other forms of adversity affecting women.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to empowering women and promoting gender equality.
