Job Title: Band 6 Surgical Specialist Dietitian

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Surgical Specialist Dietitian to join our team at the NHS. As a key member of our dietetic team, you will be responsible for providing expert nutritional care and management to patients with cancer.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical nutrition support to patients with cancer, including assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized nutrition plans.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and coordination of patient services.
  • Develop and deliver education and training programs for healthcare professionals, patients, and carers on nutrition and cancer care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based nutrition policies and guidelines.
  • Participate in research and audit activities to improve patient outcomes and advance the field of nutrition and cancer care.
Requirements:
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Dietitian.
  • Postgraduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent.
  • Experience in oncology and nutrition support, including enteral feeding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
