Role Responsibilities:

As a Senior Psychiatric Associate, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering expert psychiatric care to adult in-patient wards and/or within the community; performing assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal mental health care.
  • Providing psychiatric and clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Formulating treatment plans and conducting regular evaluations, addressing patients' biopsychosocial needs through outpatient consultations or multidisciplinary care programs.
  • Acting as a psychiatric liaison with external agencies.
  • Engaging families and caregivers in treatment planning with patient consent.
  • Participating in educational initiatives, clinical audits, quality assurance programs, and clinical governance.
  • Conducting Mental Health Act responsibilities within established governance frameworks, ensuring the safety of patients, caregivers, staff, and the community.
  • Developing clinical interests aligned with the Trust's strategic goals and financial parameters, with potential dedicated sessions.
  • Adapting to evolving service requirements flexibly.
