About the Role

The Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital Nurse to lead the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Benefits Team. As a key member of the Trust's digital transformation journey, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective and efficient use of technology and digital information to improve patient care and safety.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement new processes and ways of working, ensuring they are safe and do not compromise patient care.
  • Provide training and support to clinical teams, including the production of training materials and working with Nursing Education teams to ensure safe embedding of systems and processes.
  • Analyse inpatient and outpatient work practices, working with clinical teams to achieve increased efficiency and enhanced clinical effectiveness through the DCR.
  • Work with clinical, nursing, operational management, and support teams across the Trust and NHS to ensure clinical practice is supported by digital technology.
Key Requirements
  • Excellent understanding of clinical processes within an acute setting.
  • Ability to organise and chair meetings with a range of stakeholders.
  • Able to persuade project boards and staff of the importance of transformation projects and communicate sensitive information about performance and change.
  • Willingness to challenge existing practice and make a case for change.
  • Ability to build good working relationships with clinicians and managers at all levels, across and within organisations.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Professional registration (Nursing or AHP).
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Teaching and assessing qualification.
  • NHS Benefits Management Training.

  • The ability to lead a motivated team who can work to tight deadlines and ensure programme objectives are met.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Demonstrate initiative, motivation, and ability to put changes into practice.
Other Requirements
  • Able to travel between sites.
  • Able to work late, night, and weekend shifts as required.
  • This is a clinical role, the post holder must be able to work in clinical areas, shadowing and observing clinical teams and process mapping.
