Position Overview: We are currently in search of a meticulous and skilled Cost Estimator to become a vital part of our energetic team. The Cost Estimator will be essential in evaluating project needs, analyzing expenses, and crafting precise and competitive bids for fire protection system installations and maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess project specifications, blueprints, and related documents to define project scope and requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to gather essential information for accurate cost estimations.
  • Conduct detailed analyses of material and labor costs to prepare thorough project estimates.
  • Utilize estimating software and tools to produce precise cost forecasts and develop comprehensive bid proposals.
  • Engage in bid review meetings and negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project budgets and provide continuous support to project teams to ensure cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, pricing changes, and regulatory standards to ensure competitive and compliant bids.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a cost estimator in the fire protection sector or a related construction field.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to accurately evaluate project costs and associated risks.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills for interaction with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
