Job Description

**Supporting Business Growth**

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to support the Engineering Solutions MD in achieving ambitious growth targets following recent acquisitions and organisational changes.

**Reporting and Leadership**

The role will report to the BRUSH CFHRO and act as a key finance leader in the business, providing oversight and guidance for the overall performance of the Engineering Solutions business.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Understand the Business**: Gain a deep understanding of the Engineering Solutions business, including its operations, financial performance, and strategic objectives.
  • **Financial Reporting**: Provide accurate and timely financial reporting, including KPIs, variance analysis, insight, and commentary, to support business decision-making.
  • **Budgeting and Forecasting**: Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, and providing commercial decision support to the Commercial teams.
  • **Business Partnering**: Work closely with the Operations teams to deliver their budgets and forecasting cycles, and support commercial decision-making.
  • **Profitability Analysis**: Actively review and drive profitability of all business lines, identifying key cost drivers and offering cost reduction solutions.
  • **Cash Flow Management**: Drive detailed operational cash flow forecasting and proactive management with the management team.
  • **Strategic Planning**: Provide high-level analysis support and scenario planning to the Engineering Solutions MD, and support in the evolution of the brand 3/5 year strategic plans, including financial modelling.
  • **Team Development**: Coach and develop the wider finance team to ensure we have a highly skilled, fulfilled team with a pipeline of finance talent for the future.
  • **Relationship Building**: Foster and build relationships across BRUSH group to understand risks and opportunities that the business is facing.
  • **Due Diligence**: Lead due diligence and finance integration on any future Engineering Solutions acquisitions.
  • **Procurement**: Responsibility for Engineering Solutions procurement.
