About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Detention Custody Officer (DCO) at Gatwick Immigration Centre. As a DCO, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and secure management of detainees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular security checks and patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Monitor and manage the movement of detainees, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive and respectful environment
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Reasonable fitness level and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good educational level of English and Maths
  • Ability to work varied shift patterns, including night shifts
  • Commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others
