Recruitment Process

We invite you to complete an online assessment, followed by an interview, role play, written exercise, competency-based interview, and maths assessments. You will also undergo a fitness test, which includes a bleep test, agility test, shield hold test, and grip test.

Once you've passed the assessment, you'll attend a 4-week Initial Training Course (ITC) at the prison, which includes 8 weeks of classroom-based training and 2 weeks of shadowing. This provides high-quality training, including a Diploma in Custodial Care, First Aid, and Control and Restraint training.
