Job Summary

The MIU Practitioner will be responsible for providing high-quality emergency care to patients in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency care to patients, including assessing and treating minor injuries and ailments.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and maintain stock levels, ordering supplies as needed and reporting any defects to management.
  • Enter patient-related data into electronic record systems and participate in audit processes.
  • Teach and educate patients on health-related topics, utilizing teaching skills to promote health literacy.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse, Emergency Care Practitioner, or AHP qualification in a specialist field to degree or diploma level.
  • Experience in auditing and providing evidence-based care within the field.
  • Ability to analyze situations and provide resolutions, working under pressure in a physically and psychologically demanding role.
  • IT literacy to enter patient-related data and participate in audit processes.

Desirable Criteria

  • Supplemented by diploma-level specialist training and/or short courses, or equivalent level of experience.

Personal Qualities/Attributes

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze situations and provide resolutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a physically and psychologically demanding role.
