This Global Sourcing Project Leader - Indirect Procurement role is tasked with overseeing the management of International Indirect Procurement.

The individual in this position will analyze, assess, synthesize, and correlate information from both internal and external sources to address challenges and make informed decisions. They will identify key success factors while formulating strategies and plans. The role requires balancing technological, market, competitive, and organizational elements to secure a competitive edge. Diverse perspectives will be utilized in the planning and decision-making processes, considering potential outcomes of various alternative actions. This position will involve collaboration with cross-departmental teams, engaging all stakeholders in the decision-making journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrates expertise in contract formulation, including essential contracting principles, standard terms, legal regulations, and industry benchmarks. Prepares, revises, reviews, and negotiates vendor contracts related to Indirect Procurement, such as Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, and Renewals. Employs advanced sourcing techniques, including RFx processes, to devise negotiation strategies that facilitate effective vendor management and process enhancements. Manages vendor relationships and addresses any escalated issues involving service providers. Oversees and enhances supplier performance, ensuring contract adherence, continuous improvement, innovation, and reduction in total ownership costs. Collaborates with the Legal department to minimize risks through the examination of both legal and business terms. Ensures legal documentation is executed in compliance with applicable legal standards. Fosters strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to uncover new opportunities for cost savings and assess business impact. Works alongside cross-functional teams to ensure that sourcing strategies align with business needs. Communicates effectively with vendors, clients, and senior management. Prepares and occasionally delivers presentations on project/category savings and category expenditure analysis to leadership and user groups. Maintains a process-driven and project-focused approach, prioritizing tasks to ensure timely project completion while adapting to the evolving demands of the business and market. Implements best practices for data collection and analysis, risk assessment, stakeholder engagement, total supply costs, product and service standardization, demand planning, contract negotiations, contract implementation, and change management.

Required Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or a related field. At least 7 years of experience in strategic global sourcing, particularly in indirect services. Professional certifications such as CPSM or MCIPS are highly preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

Comprehensive understanding of key contractual terms. Strong analytical capabilities for data analysis related to market trends and cost optimization. Effective communication skills essential for collaboration and rapport-building both internally and externally. Proficient negotiation skills for securing favorable contract terms and agreements. Strategic thinking abilities to develop and implement sourcing strategies for service lines. Risk management skills to identify and mitigate risks ensuring operational continuity. An international perspective to understand global markets and sourcing strategies for worldwide supply chains. Legal acumen to interpret commercial contracts and negotiate optimal outcomes. Ability to conduct analytical evaluations for presentation to senior leadership.
