Randstad Care is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to provide individualized support to students with learning disabilities and complex communication needs in an educational setting. As a Support Worker, you will collaborate with teachers and staff to help students overcome challenges and achieve their educational goals while also supporting the development of independent life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special needs.
  • Assist with implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to ensure students receive tailored support.
  • Support the development of social skills, independence, and academic abilities.
  • Collaborate with professionals to ensure holistic student development and progress.
  • Facilitate a safe and positive learning environment that promotes student well-being.
  • Assist with personal care needs as required, ensuring students receive dignified and respectful support.
  • Monitor and document student progress to inform future support plans.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people, preferably in education or care settings.
  • Understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) best practices and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to providing high-quality support to students with complex needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve student outcomes.
