Principal Drainage and Flood Risk Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Drainage and Flood Risk Engineer to join our team at Fortis Recruitment Solutions. As a key member of our consultancy, you will lead innovative projects and contribute to sustainable solutions in the civil engineering sector.

As a Principal Drainage and Flood Risk Engineer, you will:

  • Lead and manage drainage and flood risk assessments for various projects.
  • Provide expert advice on sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and flood risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and innovation.
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success.

You will have the following:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in drainage design and flood risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • A passion for sustainable engineering solutions.
