About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Digital Business Programmes team. As the Head of Digital Business Programmes, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and vision to deliver excellent student outcomes, quality assurance, and enhancement.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the development of innovative and quality-assured digital pedagogy for Study Group. Your key responsibilities will include leading and supporting the digital business programme team, reporting to the Head of Study Group Digital Learning, and being accountable for students achieving progression requirements for recognising partner universities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of current SGDL Digital International Foundation Programmes: Business Management (Level 3) and Digital Pre-Masters: Business Management (Level 6) programmes.
  • Develop the academic tutorial programme for Digital Business programmes.
  • Lead the development of new programmes added to the Digital Academic Programme portfolio, including humanities or social science subjects.
  • Work closely with the SGDL team and network staff to ensure appropriate, current, and relevant subject, academic skills, digital skills, and language development are integrated and embedded.
  • Support the development of the SGDL virtual learning environment (VLE) and other relevant digital apps and resources.
  • Manage and address day-to-day issues that arise, ensuring solutions are sought and problems resolved effectively and efficiently.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a bachelor's degree and a postgraduate qualification in a business subject. You should have a teaching qualification, leadership and management experience in a teaching and learning environment, and experience of leading a team to achieve high levels of student academic performance and outcomes against agreed targets.

You should also have experience of teaching business to international students in the UK, higher or further education, and experience of online-only delivery. Additionally, you should have experience of using virtual learning platforms and digital applications for programme delivery, planning and running complex education courses, leading teacher training or CPD initiatives, and partnership working in the education sector.
