Job Title: Senior CAD Designer

Atlas Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior CAD Designer to join our team in Barrow-In-Furness.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior CAD Designer to support the Submarine sector of our business. As a Senior CAD Designer, you will be responsible for designing and producing 3D models of the primary structure of the submarine, as well as creating 2D drawing outputs to support manufacturing and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce 3D models of the primary structure of the submarine
  • Produce 2D drawing outputs to support manufacturing and production teams
  • Collaborate with other designers to improve product and design
  • Work with specialized teams to design and develop various components, including seating, penetrations, eye plates, primary structure, and hull mechanics

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a design role, preferably in a high-hazard industry such as Civil, Structures, Marine, or Oil & Gas
  • Proficiency in CAD packages, particularly FORAN, NX, and/or Solidworks
  • Knowledge of techniques, processes, and tools for large-scale detailed designs of platforms, assemblies, systems, and equipment installation
