Job Title: Senior CAD Designer - Electrical

Location: Barrow-in-Furness

Salary: Negotiable, depending on skills and experience

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CAD Designer - Electrical to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for producing 3D models of electrical systems and equipment integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct involvement with the design of our World Class Submarines
  • Using CAD toolsets to produce 3D models of electrical routed systems and equipment integration
  • Mature and develop 2D electrical schematics / system diagrams
  • Producing outputs to support manufacturing, installation and testing of our products
  • Developing and maintaining close working relationships with other design teams and stakeholders
  • Working as a team to produce an integrated design that meets customer expectations
Requirements:
  • Relevant apprenticeship, engineering qualification or previous experience as an Electrical Designer / Draughtsperson
  • Experience in electrical compartment integration and Engineering Standards at component and sub-component / assembly level
  • Knowledge and understanding of electrical routed systems at both 2D and 3D level
  • Understanding of CAD toolsets and techniques
