About the Role:
No experience necessary, full training is provided. As a Hatchery Operative, you will play a key role in the daily duties of our farm, working as part of a team to ensure the welfare of our birds.
The benefits of working for Avara Foods:

Working Hours:
36 hours per week. Our working hours are 08:00-18:00, with 4 shifts between Monday and Saturday.
About the Role:
As a Hatchery Operative, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring bird welfare protocols are followed, including vaccinations and health checks.
- Sorting chicks into the required grades and quantities for farm deliveries.
- Cleaning all equipment after use.
- Safeguarding bird welfare and following strict bio-security regulations.
- Following training and health and safety rules at all times.
What are we looking for?
- A good level of English and basic numeracy skills.
- Attention to detail and a flexible attitude to work.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Previous hatchery experience is desirable but not essential, as all training is provided.
- Due to bird welfare, you cannot have any avian pets or poultry.
