About the Role

The University of Leeds is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Capital Projects Lead to join our Facilities Directorate. This role plays a crucial part in shaping the future of our diverse campus estate, encompassing academic buildings, student residences, sports facilities, and more.

As Capital Projects Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing complex capital projects from initial briefing through planning stages, ensuring they align with the University's strategic objectives and spatial needs. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering projects that meet the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of capital projects, from conception to completion.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, budgets, and timelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including academic departments, finance teams, and legal counsel.
  • Engage with external partners, contractors, and consultants to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Maintain a strong focus on environmental and social sustainability throughout the project lifecycle.
